Miss Rachel has been adopted

Rachel was abandoned when a tenant moved out of a rental property. She was heavily pregnant at the time and, knowing how much work and expense would be involved, the lady who found her couldn't keep her. Rachel was destined to go to a shelter.

Bridgewater Veterinary Hospital offered to sponsor Rachel, and our Technician, Lisa, offered to give her a home until she gave birth. A week after taking her in, Rachel gave birth to a litter of five gorgeous babies. All of her babies have been adopted but the only application we received for Rachel was the lady who had originally found her.

Even though Rachel did great with Lisa's cats, dogs, guinea pigs and ferrets, she didn't get along with her new adopter's cats and, sadly, after less than three weeks, Rachel was dropped off at Chester County SPCA. As soon as we found this out, we contacted the shelter and made arrangements to pick her up.

Rachel is, once again, at Bridgewater Veterinary Hospital but this is less than an ideal situation as Erie, our office cat, has never liked other cats. We will keep her here, making the best of things until we can find the perfect home for her.

She is a sweet, loving girl who is almost 2 years old. She has been spayed, is up to date on all of her vaccinations and has tested negative for Felv/FIV. Given what has happened, we would prefer that this little beauty goes to a home where she is the only cat. If you can't take Rachel yourself, please spread the word and help find this sweet girl the loving home she deserves.
